We provide landlords and hosts with the relevant information on gas, electric, fire, lead and legionella safety; and package it in a format that is easy for users to understand.
We give hosts easy access to our network of highly skilled engineers, who can perform checks and issue certificates to close any gaps in a property’s health and safety record. We’ll also get back in touch when your certification is due to be renewed.
Our Story
After several years in the holiday let industry and having visited countless short term let properties, Founder and CEO Michael Cairns became aware of the massive knowledge gap in health and safety. Landlords were often under the impression that holiday lets were an unregulated industry, and despite best intentions, often let safety certification lapse. His aim was to make it simple for landlords to find the necessary information, and make it easy to book these services. The idea grew from here and this is why Safe Host was created, making things easier for owners and landlords to stay on top of health and safety certification at their properties.
At SafeHost we love to make things as easy as possible for our customers, we know people work at different times of the day meaning it is difficult to be home for appointments. With this in mind we offer the following to make things that little bit easier:
- Collect keys to let ourselves in to carry out the safety test then arrange to drop keys back off
- Offer appointments in the evening and at weekends
- Send message morning of appointment with expected time of arrival
- Call 30 minutes before we arrive
